Weekly friends from high school and I meet on Zoom. Monthly, friends from elementary school meet on Zoom. Every other week, I talk with a close friend and former colleague from work and another friend from high school. I talk with family periodically. All these ties have grown deeper and more meaningful.
With respect to people I did not know, the global community, and may never meet, I have made little or no contact. In the long year ahead of sequestration, I will have to think of days to make such contacts.
I attended Shabbat services at TBE regularly and have done so for the 4.5 years of my membership. I have made intermittent contact with the “regulars” and will continue to do so. I plan to increase my involvement in matters at TBE that I enjoy and hope to teach a TBELLE class again.
