TBE’s Community Voice

Despite making drastic changes to the way I live my life, in many ways dealing with the pandemic has given me the gift of time.

Ordinarily, my life is very busy with constant travels which also makes home life hectic in preparing for and catching up from the trips.

So being home continuously for more than five months, I had the time to write more and work on my blog, straighten up around my house, play my piano, take long walks and bond with my dog, play tennis regularly, catch up with friends and family by phone calls, group FaceTimes, and Zooming, and discover from 2 & 1/2 forced months of togetherness while my husband Jesse did not go out to work that we will likely survive his imminent retirement. Admittedly, there were challenges with our 24/7 existence, that were more humorous than serious, such as convincing my very early-rising husband that just because he might see me awake and out of bed before 7 am does not mean I am at all ready for any serious conversation, discussing newspaper articles, or being assigned selected secretarial duties. Coffee first!
