What has brought me joy…

Is getting to spend more time with my wife and kids. Usually I’m traveling and now I’ve been home.

The biggest challenge I had was at work. We had to shut down one of my companies for a few months because of the quarantine. I had to let go of some people who had worked there for a long long time. And I had never experienced letting go of a few hundred people.

My biggest challenge during this time was having to say goodbye to my grandmother in a very different way than I was accustomed to in our jewish tradition. It was so painful for me to not have the opportunity to hug my family and receive hugs back.

My joy is having my family especially my husband around all the time. We’ve gotten so much closer as a family and learned to accept each other for who we are and have fun together.

My joy is doing the firepit with my family. We would roast s’mores, have fun, listen to music and dance. We would all just be so happy! Spending so much time with my sister Sophie has been amazing. And of course my brothers too.

My challenge is wearing a mask playing soccer. Also, not being able to touch people. Not seeing my friends for the first few months of quarantine was very hard. Even now when I see them, I have to stay 6 feet away which is so hard.

My joy is getting to be with family so much and getting to play lots of basketball.

My challenge is seeing every day a new bad thing with police brutality and social injustice towards black people. It makes me feel more and more annoyed. I want to stop it but don’t know how.

My joy is getting to do lots of puzzles with my mom, learning how to ride a bike, going to cape cod.

My challenge was being away from people and not getting to see my friends.
