I’m learning self reliance. I’m learning to be more trusting, to be more forgiving, to be more companionate, to be less critical. I’m learning to stop and consider before I speak or take action. Prior to the last few months I didn’t give a lot of thought to such things. I was on autopilot from childhood. At 84, I don’t want to live on autopilot. I have family and friends who look to me for guidance-the kind that doesn’t tell them what to do. Still learning, still practicing.
