Sukkot
The only festival with an explicit commandment to rejoice, Sukkot is for giving thanks for the fall harvest and commemorates 40 years of Jews wandering in the desert after the giving of the Torah. Celebrated five days after Yom Kippur.
Simchat Torah
A day after Sukkot, Simchat Torah celebrates the completion of the reading of the Torah and affirms the importance of Torah in our lives. Participate as the scrolls are taken from the ark and danced around our makom.
Chanukah
Celebrate miracles in history and in our lives, today. Take time to enjoy stories, songs, lights, and dreidels!
Tu B’Shevat
Considered the “New Year of the Trees,” and originally an agricultural festival to welcome spring, today it is a tree planting festival in Israel.
Purim
Experience the story of Purim from the Book of Esther, whose eponymous heroine saves her people. Hamantachen, gifts, costumes, humor, fun all around.
Passover
The festival of freedom. Celebrate the liberation of our ancestors from slavery and remember all who are still enslaved.
