Community of Adult Social Action (CASA)
Working together on small-group social justice activities is a great way to make connections, build community, and express our Jewish values.

TBE Table is a member-driven meal production and distribution program located in the TBE kitchen. Our goal is to produce healthy, delicious meals for those facing food insecurity and to build community while working together towards this important goal. Join TBE volunteers to cook and/or serve meals to families who are homeless and working toward independent living.

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters
Become a mentor to a child or friend to an adult with disabilities, refer a family who could benefit, or participate in the Rodman Ride for Kids to raise money for children’s charities in MA.
Literacy Tutoring
The Greater Boston Jewish Coalition for Literacy (GBJCL) mobilizes the Jewish community to help elementary school children discover the joy of reading by building meaningful relationships with a caring adult. Through partnerships with synagogues, Jewish community organizations, day schools, and businesses, GBJCL engages volunteers in school-based one-to-one reading tutoring, book drives, and advocacy efforts in high-needs schools.

Join our Racial Justice Initiative in providing mentorship to incarcerated students seeking college degrees.

Sharim Singers @ Senior Living
Join us one Sunday a month to sing songs that resonate with senior living center residents in Metrowest. Sharim Singer voices are accompanied by piano or guitar and led by composer, conductor, author and musical director Nick Page, whose choral works have premiered in venues including Lincoln Center.

Special Education Surrogate Parents
Join a TBE corps of volunteer parent advocates for students in state custody who have special education needs. Help ensure that every child in the care of the Massachusetts Department for Children and Families (DCF) receives the educational support they need to succeed. Volunteers receive training and support.

TBE Youth Opportunities
Grades 6-7
Students engage in repairing the world through causes such as environmentalism, fighting hunger & homelessness, building literacy, connecting generations, or helping those with disabilities.
Grades 8-12
Through Justice League, teens come together to engage in tikkun olam and wrestle with difficult issues.
