The past several months have been defined by both deep loss and immense joy. I still remember flying down to see my grandmother for what I knew would be the last time. And I returned back home to a world that would soon become forever changed. My entire life, including my work and school, was confined to my apartment. And then I left two beloved communities in the most bittersweet ways, happy celebrations and sad goodbyes, and entered a new one. I am in such a strong position of growth, arguably more than ever before. I closed those chapters with tears of happiness and sadness. And I write this new one looking forward to seeing what’s to come.
