We’re so proud of our b’nei mitzvah students and families for persevering and showing resilience in uncertain times. We are lucky to benefit from our students’ teachings as they are sharing and will continue to share their Divrei Torah (Teachings of Torah) on their original scheduled B’nei Mitzvah date.
This week, Addison Robie teaches us about her Torah portion, Parashat Emor, Leviticus 21:1–24:23.
“Shabbat is a way to remind people that they are connected to God. Unlike the other six days of the week, Shabbat is a time when we completely change our routine. On Shabbat everyone comes together. We have to put an effort into recognizing and celebrating Shabbat. It doesn’t just happen. In order to have sacred time, we have to work at it and appreciate it.”
