Join the Ruderman Synagogue Inclusion Project, a partnership between CJP and the Ruderman Family Foundation, for a transformative experience. The latest installment of Bold Conversations, Breaking the Bonds of Addiction, will open your mind and expand your awareness through a moving musical performance interweaving a Passover Seder with personal stories called Freedom Song. The cast comprises addicts in recovery who are actively facing their demons. They’ll make us laugh, cry, and learn about addiction and mental health.
The performance will be followed by a moderated Q&A with Beit T’Shuvah’s Rabbi Joseph Shamash, Freedom Song’s director Michael Kamenir, and some of the cast members in conversation with Sarah Abramson, Ph.D., Senior Vice President of Strategy and Impact, CJP.
In-person attendees can choose to participate in either the Q&A or a small group discussion with members of the cast.
