Friday Shabbat Service with Survivors of the Nova Music Festival (Hybrid)

Join us in the sanctuary to welcome Shabbat in song and prayer. We will be joined by two survivors of the Nova Music Festival, brothers Daniel and Neria Sharabi (learn more about Daniel and Neria below). Gather with community to hear their testimony and bear witness.

Due to the sensitive nature of this evening’s talk, our guests will speak toward the end of the service following Mourner’s Kaddish, when congregants will have the opportunity to remain in the sanctuary or move outside for oneg. If parents wish to remain in the sanctuary, children will be accompanied to oneg and an activity with Cantor Rosenberg.

Brothers Daniel and Neria Sharabi are Nova Festival survivors and warriors that found cover with dozens of other victims behind an abandoned IDF tank on October 7. As former combat and medic IDF soldiers, the brothers quickly assembled and spent countless hours fighting off terrorists with weapons and ammunition found inside the abandoned IDF tank. Since then, the Sharabi brothers have established a non-profit organization, For the Survivors and the Wounded of the Nova Festival. Its mission is to provide emotional, social, and financial recovery for those suffering from the traumatic effects of October 7th through sharing their unbelievable story, the stories of those no longer with us, and in honor of their best friend Yosef Ohana who is still held hostage in Gaza.
