Intergenerational Megillah Reading & Purim Festival (In Person)
- Sunday, March 24, 2024
- 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Join us at 10:00 am for a fun-filled celebration of Purim where we will read the megillah, retell the Purim story, sing silly Purim songs, shake our groggers and boo at the sound of the name “Haman!”, wear our favorite costumes, and nosh some hamantaschen. Bonus points if you come dressed as (or with) your favorite childhood toy!
Then, stay from 11:00 am–12:15 pm for Purim fun, games, crafts, and snacks for all ages! Featuring:
- Carnival games from Knucklebones Boston
- Facepainters
- Puppet Show for FwYC and Gan Elohim from Pumpernickel Puppets
- Havayah Escape Room
- Giveaways and secret prizes
- Hamantaschen for everyone!
In lieu of a ticket price, please consider fulfilling the mitzvah of matanot l’evyonim (giving gifts to the poor) by donating to Yad Chessed to help address the needs of Jews in our Boston area community who struggle with financial and food insecurity.
Looking for some fun for the older people in your lives? Join us on Saturday, March 23 for our Adult Community Purim Potluck & Trivia, a 21+ event.
