Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Day (In Person)

TBE honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a Day of Community Service on his 95th birthday, January 15, 2024. In collaboration with Havayah, Family Social Action Group (FSAG), Community Adult Social Action (CASA), Caring Knitters, and TBE Table, the Racial Justice Initiative offers something for everyone. Join us in preparing a meal for residents of Brie’s House (a welcoming home for returning citizens), filling Dignity Bags for those experiencing homelessness, and making blankets for shelter residents. A great community tikkun olam opportunity for children, teens, and adults. Spend the morning with us! View the MLK Service Day flyer

RJI volunteers will be preparing a special MLK brunch to be delivered that day to residents of Brie’s House (a transitional home for Returning Citizens) AND helping the TBE Table team prep ingredients for the 330 meals to be delivered on Wednesday, January 17 to our Community Partners.
