About Max
Hello TBE! My name is Max Cooper, and I’m at my happiest when working with my team on the basketball court. Multiple times a week I’m playing with one of my three teams, crashing the boards and crushing the low post. At home my sister Sadie, who’s 11, and parents Shana and Josh, are always down to hang out. Our favorite family activities are to watch movies and play games together. We also love traveling together and having new adventures. I’m a 7th grader at Pollard Middle School in Needham and I enjoy social studies and math. But, math is my favorite because of its puzzle-like nature and satisfying solutions. As a Bar Mitzvah, I realized part of becoming an adult in the Jewish community was giving back. Due to this interest, I contributed to the community in a variety of ways. This year I supported Gamers Outreach which builds and donates video game carts for the use of kids in hospitals, along with delivering food for those in need. I have learned that giving back is not just central to being Jewish, but also to who I want to be.
