About Charlotte
Hello TBE! I am Charlotte Scott and I am in the seventh grade at Beaver Country Day School in Brookline where my favorite subjects are Visual Arts and English. I live in Wellesley with my parents, my older sister Abby, and my “cloud” (I mean, my white puff ball dog named Millie).
I am a very creative person and I much enjoy cooking, pottery, crafting, art (digital and physical), and skiing.
Creating is such an obsession for me that I try to turn every school assignment into an art project. I have enjoyed art since kindergarten, where I started with oil pastels and Crayola markers. I think I love creating so much because I am left with a final product I can share with family, friends, and anyone else who is interested.
I am excited to become a Bat Mitzvah because it means that I will be respected more in my community and that I have finally achieved the result of all my hard work. For my Bat Mitzvah project, I will be helping build desks with Desk Mates for kids who have no area at home to do their work. Desk Mates was started during the COVID pandemic to help kids who have had to do more schoolwork at home. Since it was started in January of 2021, Desk Mates has helped provide over 200 desks to kids in need. I truly think that they have made a big difference, which is why I wanted to help.
