Mother’s Day Walk for Peace with TBE (In Person)
- Sunday, May 8, 2022
- 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Join us in person
Join us to walk or donate to support the TBE Team and make a difference this Mother’s Day at the 26th annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace, benefitting the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute in Boston. We are so pleased that the walk will return to being an in-person event this year, with a virtual option. The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute—founded and led by Chaplain Clementina (Tina) Chery who spoke at TBE a few years ago—is a center of healing, teaching and learning for families and communities impacted by murder, grief, trauma and loss. Initiated in 1996, the Mother’s Day Walk continues to be a powerful way to honor those who have been murdered and embrace our partners in peacemaking. It is also the Peace Institute’s most important fundraising event.
The full walk of 7.7 miles begins and ends at Town Field in Dorchester or you can shorten the walk by joining in at Madison Park High School in Roxbury. (Shuttle buses will return walkers to the High School at completion) To view the route, go to https://www.mothersdaywalk4peace.org.
Registration & Donation: Register to walk or donate to support the TBE Team using the purple registration button above.
