Music Club (Online)

Join Cantor Josh Rosenberg as he presents From Lieder to Liturgy: Schubert and Sulzer. Contemporaries in 19th century Vienna, classical composer Franz Schubert and Hazzan Salomon Sulzer developed a personal relationship and musical partnership which still influences Jewish musical life today. We’ll study how the secular influenced the sacred (and vice versa!) through the lens of their musical works.

For classes that meet for multiple sessions, you only need to register once. You will be able to use the same Zoom link to access each session of the class. Prior to each meeting we listen to one or more works of a composer or performer and read about that composer or genre of music. Come join us!
