Our Shabbat service includes the celebration of the B’Mitzvah of Harper Cohen.

Hi TBE,
My name is Harper Cohen. I live in Newton with my parents, Mara and Michael, and my younger sister Reese. Soon we will be adding a dog to our family. I have wanted a dog for as long as I can remember. It will be a big responsibility, just like becoming a bar mitzvah, but I am ready!

I am a 7th grader at The Fessenden School. My favorite subject is Civilizations, because I like to learn about how people thrived before modern technology. I, for one, could not imagine surviving a day without the Internet! At Fessenden, I participate in the Jewish affinity group, Mishpacha.

My favorite place in the world is Camp Micah, and I look forward to returning to camp all year. I have made some of my best memories at camp, and I feel very fortunate to have made so many good friends there.

Studying for my bar mitzvah has been very challenging but I am excited to lead a service in front of my community.
