TBE’s Community Voice

Gan Elohim is a special community that we feel lucky to be a part of.  When we chose a nursery school for our children we knew we wanted a warm, loving school where they would learn and grow that also helped instill our Jewish culture and values.

We feel especially grateful right now that we are able to send our son, Max. It was a no brainer that we were sending him to school this year. Of course there were Covid concerns and discussions about protocols and safety measures. I am blown away by the time and effort put in to make Gan Elohim a safe environment for our children. Max was eager to get back into the classroom and reunite with his friends.

Max comes home every day with stories and facts about things he has learned.  Today he told me all about a boat he built out of straws and tape with his friend, Georgie. They worked together and then made it float. It was a physics experiment and lesson about Noah’s Ark in one. How cool is that?!  He excitedly told me about what they learned and their “teamwork.”

Last year in the green room my daughter learned about the planets and solar system. Since then she has been passionate about space. She is always looking to learn more about it and can sing the “I know the planets how about you” song on repeat. She is equally excited to lead our family in Shabbat prayers on Friday nights.

Our family has found a home in Gan Elohim. My husband and I have made lifelong friends and our children have too. It has instilled a love of learning and for Judaism in our children and it is one of the best decisions we have ever made.
