It is not a new learning, but the fragility and unpredictability of life have certainly been underscored in the most stark and painful way. I have had to learn to adapt to change and loss, to pursue cherished relationships in a more distant way, to create opportunities to get out and about, to reach out to people with whom I have not been in steady contact, to find the bright spots in the new ways of doing things.
