TBE’s Community Voice

When I reflect on my past few months, something I’ve learned is that I am happiest when I let go of my expectations of what should make me happy (going to see live music, running in road races, etc.) and open myself to the new blessings that are available to me, that perhaps I didn’t notice as often before — blessings like being able to sit outside or go into nature, blessings like eating a meal with a few very close friends, or going for a socially distanced paddleboard trip on the Charles River. When I let go of expectations, I open myself up more to noticing new opportunities.
